Les Clefs d’Or Australia Concierge & Hospitality Ball

Each year the Melbourne members of Les Clefs d’Or Australia host a black tie gala ball to celebrate the hospitality profession and the men and women who work tirelessly throughout the year to welcome Melbourne’s visitors.  This year we gathered in the grand ballroom of the Sofitel on Collins which was turned into an oasis of fun for this years theme “Arabian Nights”.  Our host for the evening was Andrew Natoli, Chief Concierge at the Sofitel on Collins.  Andrew pulled out all the stops and even managed to squeeze a camel into the Sultan’s tent!  The sold out event again raised the bar for the organisers of next years ball and I know all who attended had a great night.

The event was attended by special guests Deputy Lord Mayor Susan Riley and Shadow Treasurer Tim Holding.  Also in attendance were the President of Les Clefs d’Or Australia Steve Ciric, Secretary Peter Brown and Treasurer Peter McBrearty and Director of Zone for Oceania Michael Anderson.  Ben Davies the Victorian State Delegate assisted with the organisation of the event along with many of the Victorian members of Les Clefs d’Or.  Thank you to all for all of your hard work and all wonderful evening and thank you to the many Sydney members who made the trip to Melbourne to attend the event.

I congratulate all of the nominees of the Alfred Jasinski Award for Service Excellence along with our winner Andy Byrne from the Sebel and Citigate Albert Park.

Thank you to the sponsors of the event, we could not have done it without out you.  Thank you to all who donated prizes and bought tickets for the raffle which raised over $5000 for our charity Bayley House!

I hope you enjoy the photo of the evening.  I truly was an amazing event and I can’t wait for next years ball.
